Monthly Goals: April + Free Birthday Party Printable Checklist

In March I pledged to:

Have a spring cleanse – we have done quite
well with this. I have been busy trying out new soup recipes, including a
delicious Minestrone Soup, which even the kids liked and we have been including
more fresh fruit and vegetables into our diet in general.

Up my Social Media game – I’m still none
the wiser with G+ but I have been making steady progress with my Facebook page.
I finally hit 500 Likes this month thanks to lots of scheduling ahead of time
and live posting videos and really popular crafts from the much larger pages.
It’s exhausting to keep up with it all, but I will try and carry on with this
new regime as much as I can.
Newsletter – I
have my newsletter set up now and have already sent out 3 issues.

Get ready for Easter – We have made our
Easter cards, created some lovely salt dough decorations for our tree, baked
some mini easter egg nests and made some cool crazy chicks.
Learn how to do Lego – I have been getting
more involved with the boys lego, but not in the traditional sense. We have
been working together on some lego art work, using their lego boards to create
pictures out of lego bricks and pieces. I’ll be sharing some of these on the
blog soon.

Celebrate St Patricks Day – My son’s had a
fantastic time marching in the local parade with their GAA club. It is a really
great occasion, as the whole town turns out. It’s great to see how many clubs
and societies we have in the area.

In April I Pledge to:

Make the most of the Easter holidays with
the kids
– I love it when the kids break up from school for the holidays. We
are all craving a break from the school routine come the end of term, myself as
much as the kids. I plan to give the kids plenty of free play time and as much
time outdoors as possible.  I would also
like to make sure we have some nice trips out together, do lots of fun baking,
play games, read together and of course do lots of arts and crafts.
Teach Liam to tie his shoelaces – My eldest
son is now 7 and we still haven’t taught him how to tie his shoelaces. I am determined
to tackle this with him this month.
Blog anniversary – My blog celebrates its
first anniversary at the very end of the month. I am planning lots of birthday
themed posts around the time, as well as a look back on my year. It’s hard to
believe this time last year I had barely even heard of Twitter and now I have
over 1,500 followers over there!
Birthday planning – my daughter turns 3 at
the end of the month, so I have lots of planning and preparation to do for her
requested “Teddy Bear Picnic” themed birthday party. I have created this handy
checklist to help me keep on top of all of the preparations.
