I really just wanted to curl up on the sofa with<br \/>\nmy cup of herbal tea and catch up with a bit of reading for a few minutes<br \/>\nbefore facing the day.<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/canadaday-108-1024x768.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/canadaday-108-1024x768.jpg\" height=\"150\" width=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n&nbsp; <\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp;<\/span>It s times like this<br \/>\nI m really grateful for our \u201cMaking Boxes\u201d. I like to keep a stash of different<br \/>\ntypes of paper, bit and pieces such as pipe cleaners, pom poms, googly eyes,<br \/>\nglitter, odd bits of cardboard, bottle tops etc along with pens, pencils,<br \/>\nscissors, glue and sticky tape in a few little boxes all ready to bring out at<br \/>\ntimes like this. <span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp;<\/span>I got down these boxes,<br \/>\nhanded them over to the kids and instructed them to \u201cMake something\u201d whilst I<br \/>\nsat down to enjoy my cup of tea.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/canadaday-097-1024x768.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/canadaday-097-1024x768.jpg\" height=\"240\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n&nbsp;They worked away for a good 20 minutes or so, a bit less for<br \/>\nmy 2 year old and they were so proud of their achievements at the end of<br \/>\nit.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp; <\/span>It\u2019s great for a child\u2019s confidence<br \/>\nand imagination if they are left to create something for themselves from time<br \/>\nto time.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp; <\/span>It\u2019s unrealistic and very<br \/>\nunhelpful to your child to make every arts and crafts activity very structured.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp; <\/span>Sometimes it\u2019s great to just provide them<br \/>\nwith a few craft materials to help unleash their own ideas. It\u2019s very rewarding<br \/>\nthen to see their imaginations at work.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span>It\u2019s an added bonus as well that you can get to enjoy your cup of tea in<br \/>\nrelative peace at the same time.<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/canadaday-098-768x1024.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/canadaday-098-768x1024.jpg\" height=\"200\" width=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/canadaday-101-768x1024.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/canadaday-101-768x1024.jpg\" height=\"200\" width=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n&nbsp;I did pay for my 20 minutes \u201coff\u201d though as they did leave a<br \/>\nheap of glitter and bits of paper and wool all over the floor.
