Frugal DIY Activities for Kids from the Frugal Family Linky.

Welcome back to a bumper week on the Frugal Family Linky! I am starting of f by sharing my chosen features from the last two weeks on the linky. Unfortunately I was unable to take part last week, as I was unwell. I was struck down with a very nasty throat infection, which left me feeling exhausted. Not what you need when you have three kids to take care of! Thankfully we have broken up for the school summer holidays now, so a break from the school madness should help me regain my strength again.

Don’t forget to grab our badge if you have been featured.

Being sick this last fortnight has really made me appreciate the simple things in life even more. I spent a lovely afternoon sat on the beach with my two sons on Tuesday after collecting them from school for the last time this academic year. We ate a simple picnic of home made sandwiches and fruit and the boys had fun paddling and playing in the sand, whilst i breathed in the restorative sea air and enjoyed the feeling of the sun on my back. I didn’t have the energy for this last week nor the ability to eat a sandwich comfortably, so I truly appreciated the time we spent together outdoors.

I’m planning to spend as much time as possible outdoors this summer holidays enjoying activities on the beach, having picnics in our garden, going on nature walks and spending time down in the playground. We will also be enjoying lots of simple set up activities indoors like bubble painting, sponge painting and playing with moon sand and waterbeads when the weather isn’t great. What activities will you be enjoying this summer?

Our favorite post from post was New House New Home’s DIY Door Hanger with Geraniums.

To see all of June’s top posts and to learn more about my co host Sarah please visit Our Daily Craft.
