My kids love to escape into a world of make believe <a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/simple-play-idea-dressing-up-box\/\" target=\"_blank\">when they dress up<\/a>, put on shows, set up <a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/cool-maths-for-kids-playing-cafes\/\" target=\"_blank\">their own cafes<\/a> and play with <a href=\"http:\/\/littleworldsbigadventures.com\/a-beginners-guide-to-small-world-play\/\">Small Worlds.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We always have a steady supply of<a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/category\/arts-and-crafts\/bubblewrap\/\" target=\"_blank\"> bubble wrap<\/a> in our craft cupboard (thank goodness for online shopping when you have 3 kids), so I decided it was time that we used this in a new Pretend Play arts and crafts activity.<\/p>\n<p>There is inspiration all around us now that we are deep into Autumn. The leaves are making their annual colour show, changing from green to gorgeous shades of red, yellow and brown. How could we not celebrate them in an activity right now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/a-z-of-pretend-play\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5495\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Imaginative-play-ideas-square-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"85 Imaginative play ideas for kids\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Imaginative-play-ideas-square-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Imaginative-play-ideas-square-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Imaginative-play-ideas-square-45x45.jpg 45w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Imaginative-play-ideas-square.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>How to make Bubble Wrap Autumn Trees for Pretend Play<\/h2>\n<p><em>This post contains affiliate links for your convenience<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 x TP Rolls<\/li>\n<li>3 x Tree Top Templates cut out from white paper<\/li>\n<li>Sheet of <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2dNuoJH\" target=\"_blank\">Bubble Wrap<\/a><\/li>\n<li>3 x Elastic Bands<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2ek31fx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Red, Yellow, Orange and Brown Paint<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Paper Plates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ahead of the Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Load up 3 x paper plates with red, orange and yellow paint.<\/li>\n<li>Secure a square of bubble wrap over the end of each TP roll with an elastic band.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Encourage your child to dip each of the bubble wrap stamps into the 3 different coloured paints and print them over their tree top templates.<\/p>\n<p><em>An autumn themed painting activity provides the perfect time to chat to your child about the different colours associated with autumn.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Leave the tree tops to dry, remove the bubble wrap from the TP rolls and paint them with the brown paint. You might see a few Dinosaurs in there as well. My daughter is mad for them right now and they have to dive into as many of our activities as possible.<\/p>\n<p>She spent a happy half hour scooping and pouring the seed and roaring around the tray with her Dinosaurs.
