Are you looking for a quick and simple activity for your kids to enjoy this Fall? Head out together and gather some leaves. Then come home and have fun turning them into Leaf Monsters with a little help from some silly sticky eyes.

It sometimes feels like I am never off the school run. Afternoons are the busiest with 3 different pick up times due to our differing after school activity schedules. So it can be hard to squeeze in a spot of quality time with my 3 year old daughter, before her big brothers arrive home from school (don’t even get ,e started on homework time).

We generally only have a few minutes together between lunch to get a few chores done before our first school pick up. But this week I decided to ditch the dishes one lunchtime and instead spend that time sitting down with Bella. I enjoyed watching her create something special with the autumn leaves that we had gathered outside of her preschool at her pick up. This was so much more fun than doing the washing up.

We had so much fun with this Autumn Bubble Painting activity last year.

This activity is very quick and simple to set up.

This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.

Supplies

She soon set to work drawing on the leaves with the marker pens. This was followed by lots of fun peeling the backs off the scary eyes (great for fine motor skills) and sticking them onto her leaves to turn them into monsters. She really enjoyed having mummy all to herself for a few minutes as well, so it was time well spent.

She was beaming with pride for her finished Leaf Monsters and she was bursting to show her brothers when they came in from school. They of course then wanted to have a go as well. So they all sat down together to create some of their own. This certainly made an interesting addition to their school autumn nature tables the following day.

Are you looking for a quick and simple activity for your kids to enjoy this Fall?
