My grandparents were\u00a0caravan fanatics and every summer they would take me and my sister with them\u00a0up to Bridlington or Scarborough for a few days.\u00a0\u00a0It was on one of these trips that my granddad bought\u00a0us\u00a0our first kite. We spent hours (or it seemed like it at the time) running up and down the beach trying to launch and keep our kites up in the air for more than a few seconds. It was hard work, but our competitive streak keep up striving to see who could keep their kite up in the air the longest.<\/p>\n<h2>How to make\u00a0 Kite Collage Card<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>White card<\/li>\n<li>Green, blue, red and yellow\u00a0paper<\/li>\n<li>Brown paper bag<\/li>\n<li>String<\/li>\n<li>Small bow<\/li>\n<li>Cotton ball<\/li>\n<li>Glue and sticky tape<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4677\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/collage-1.jpg\" alt=\"materials to make a kids kite collage\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Ahead of the activity<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Fold a sheet of white card in half to make a card.<\/li>\n<li>Cut out a green sheet of paper slightly smaller than the white card and a then a sheet of blue paper slightly smaller than the green sheet of paper.<\/li>\n<li>Cut out a Kite shape from the brown paper bag.<\/li>\n<li>Cut out small red and yellow triangles to decorate the kite.<\/li>\n<li>Cut a small piece of string to attach the the kite.<\/li>\n<li>Lay all of the materials out along with glue and sticky tape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>If you are doing this activity with children aged 5+ \u00a0then encourage them\u00a0 to do\u00a0 as much of the preparation as they are able for.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Assembling your Kite Collage Card<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" blue sheets of paper into the centre of the white card.<\/li>\n<li>Before you glue down the main body of the Kite, use sticky tape to attach the string to the back of it.<\/li>\n<li>Glue down the kite and add on the coloured triangles to decorate it.<\/li>\n<li>Add a bow onto the string if you have one or use a button in its place.<\/li>\n<li>Finish your card off with a fluffy cotton ball cloud up
