This is not without it challenges, but with good prepration (and timing) it can be a lovely bonding exercise for them all and a lovely way to fill an afternoon in the school holidays.<\/p>\n<p>All three of my children are big rainbow\u00a0fans. They get so excited if we see one when we are out an about and are always eager to go in search of the &#8220;treasure at the end of the rainbow&#8221;.\u00a0 We have\u00a0them\u00a0spent many an hour &#8220;digging for treasure&#8221; down on our local beach, as the boys are convinced that this is where the Leprechauns hide the treasure when they beat us to it.<\/p>\n<h2>Bubble Wrap Activity for Kids: Roll a Rainbow<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bubble wrap<\/li>\n<li>Rolling pins<\/li>\n<li>Red, orange, yellow, blue, green and purple pain<\/li>\n<li>Paper plates<\/li>\n<li>Black and gold pastels or crayons<\/li>\n<li>Cotton balls<\/li>\n<li>Glue<\/li>\n<li>Paper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ahead of the Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cover your rolling pins with bubble wrap and load up your paper plates with the paint. I managed to find 3 rolling pins in our play dough supplies, so that they could all get rolling the rainbow together. We then picked 6 colours for our rainbow, so that they coud take charge of two each.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/craftykidshome\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Are you following us over on Pinterest?<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4858\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/bubble-wrap-activities-roll-a-rainbow-doing.jpg\" alt=\"bubble wrap activities roll a bubble wrap rainbow \" width=\"600\" height=\"885\" srcset=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/bubble-wrap-activities-roll-a-rainbow-doing.jpg 600w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/bubble-wrap-activities-roll-a-rainbow-doing-203x300.jpg 203w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Roll a Rainbow Bubble Wrap Activity for Kids<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Cover the bubble wrap covered rolling pin in the paint and roll all over a sheet of paper.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat for each colour of your rainbow. Leave to dry.<\/li>\n<li>Fluffy Cloud &#8211; cut out a cloud shaped template and glue cotton balls all over it.<\/li>\n<li>Pot o&#8217;gold &#8211; snip the top from a small paper plate and colour all over with a black pastel or crayon.<\/li>\n<li>Gold Coins\u00a0&#8211; cut out circle templates and colour in with gold and yellow pastels or crayons.<\/li>\n<li>Cut out rainbow arches from the bubble prints and assemble your collage.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4859\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/bubble-wrap-activities-for-kids-roll-a-rainbow-collage.jpg\" alt=\"bubble wrap activities roll a bubble wrap rainbow \" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/bubble-wrap-activities-for-kids-roll-a-rainbow-collage.jpg 600w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/bubble-wrap-activities-for-kids-roll-a-rainbow-collage-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/bubble-wrap-activities-for-kids-roll-a-rainbow-collage-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/bubble-wrap-activities-for-kids-roll-a-rainbow-collage-45x45.jpg 45w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>They all worked well together to create the colourful bubble wrap prints for their collaborative rainbow and divdided the rest of the tasks without too much fuss (this isn&#8217;t always the case).
