She campaigned hard for a duck themed birthday cake and well I gave it my best shot. We even bought rubber ducks for the party favors as well. They were a huge hit. Bella is still playing with hers and \u00a0brought them along on a recent &#8220;Paddling Pool Play date&#8221; to swim alongside her.<\/p>\n<p>So when it came to choosing a letter for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teach-me-mommy.com\/2016\/06\/the-a-z-of-animals-series.html\">Teach Me Mommy&#8217;s A-Z of Animal Series<\/a>, we had to go with D is for Duck.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5690\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Duck-Birthday-Day-Cake-e1464861187114.jpg\" alt=\"Duck Birthday Day Cake\" width=\"600\" height=\"814\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>How to make a Cupcake Liner Duck Craft<\/h2>\n<p>We love to bake in our house and I am always buying different sizes and colors of cupcake liners to fill with delicious cakes. I bought a particularly bright set a while back and thought that were ideal for making our bright yellow duck craft with.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Yellow and Orange Cupcake Liners<\/li>\n<li>Googly Eyes<\/li>\n<li>Glue<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ahead of the activity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I set aside 1 yellow cupcake liner for the ducks body. Then to make the head a little smaller, I folded another yellow cupcake liner in half and trimmed a little off around the edges.<\/p>\n<p>I cut out shapes for the ducks feet, wing and beak from 1 orange cupcake liner.<\/p>\n<p>I had intended to just sit down with Bella for this craft, as I didn&#8217;t think my boys would be interested in making a cute little duck. So whilst I popped Bella up to bed, they had a go at making one all by themselves.
