Big brother was building his birthday Lego. So to help distract little brother and little sister from their birthday envy (and to give big brother a rare bit of peace and quiet), we set to work on a Santa craft, for the School Christmas Tree Decoration competition. All entrants must be made from recyclables, so think egg cartons, cardboard tubes, cereal boxes and our favourite Bubble Wrap!

Bubble Wrap was the main junk material on our only winning entry, so far in the school competition. Freddie’s Bubble Wrap Snow Man Snow-Globe won the Junior Infant category 2 years ago. We decided to bring it out again this year and put a fun new twist onto a classic Santa cardboard tube craft.
