They still won&#8217;t quite make it up until midnight (I hope not anyway), but they will be around for more of our party than before. This means it&#8217;s time to get them more involved.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Every party needs party decorations and a New Year&#8217;s Eve Party needs them with extra sparkle. Something that my kids are very good at providing. I&#8217;m hoping to get them involved in the pre-party clean up as well, but I may be pushing my luck with that one.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7009\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/New-years-eve-party-art-1.jpg\" alt=\"Supplies for Kids New Year Art Project\" width=\"600\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/New-years-eve-party-art-1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/New-years-eve-party-art-1-264x300.jpg 264w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>New Year&#8217;s Eve Art Project for Kids<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paper<\/li>\n<li>Glue<\/li>\n<li>Paper Streamers<\/li>\n<li>Party Hats and Crackers<\/li>\n<li>Glitters<\/li>\n<li>Shiny Stars<\/li>\n<li>Sticky Gems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ahead of the Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I prepared a 2017 template for the kids to fill with lots of sparkly bits and bobs left over from Christmas, along with some of our general arts and crafts supplies.<\/p>\n<p>It seemed such a waste to just throw out all of the party hats and pulled crackers. So I cut them down to mosaic sized pieces to use on these collages and our Christmas Thank You cards.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7010\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/New-years-eve-party-art-2.jpg\" alt=\"Child making a New Years Eve Year collage\" width=\"600\" height=\"446\" srcset=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/New-years-eve-party-art-2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/New-years-eve-party-art-2-300x223.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They both made a grab for the new glitter tubes to get their party art started.
