Hurry \u00a0up Spring, we are so sick of these Winter bugs now! To cheer my son up on a recent sick day, we sat down enjoy a Tissue Paper Canvas Art Project together.<\/p>\n<p>We decided on a Valentines Day theme for our project, \u00a0as we will be putting up our decorations soon. But you could choose any colour theme that you wanted. <em>We have also enjoyed creating some rainbow themed St Patrick&#8217;s Day art, using this same technique.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Valentine&#8217;s Day Tissue Paper Canvas Art<\/h2>\n<p><em>This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2l2oSJz\">Canvas board<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2kRfI0n\">Tissue paper<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2lzBd5U\">Coloured paper<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Glue<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2lsENSy\">Glitter<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ahead of the activity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cut or tear tissue paper into small squares.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7275\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/tissue-1.jpg\" alt=\"Bleeding tissue paper art for kids\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/tissue-1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/tissue-1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We began by sticking water down the tissue paper pieces onto the canvas with water. Using a paintbrush to brush over water to hold each piece in place.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/subscribe\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7344\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Untitled-287x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"287\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Untitled-287x300.png 287w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Untitled.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 287px) 100vw, 287px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Click on image to get our FREE E-Book<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tissue paper then needs to be left to completely dry out. <em>I sped up this process by popping it into our utility room, where the washer and dryer seem to be permanently only right now.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Once dry it was then time to peel back the tissue paper pieces.
