You know your own kids and their capabilities,\u00a0so it&#8217;s up to you if you let them to this or you do it for them.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Leave it to cool for a few minutes and then start to add some colour to your art project.<\/p>\n<p>Fill in the spaces between the glue with paint, crayon, pastel or pen.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have done, you can then peel off the blue, <em>but only if you want too.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7533\" src=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Hot-Glue-Gun-Resist-Art-2.jpg\" alt=\"Child blending pastels on a glue resist art project\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Hot-Glue-Gun-Resist-Art-2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/craftykidsathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Hot-Glue-Gun-Resist-Art-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My eldest son loves to experiment with different techniques and materials on his projects. He wanted to remove it. I watched on nervously as he peeled it off the canvas, but thankfully it came away without causing any damage to his canvas.
