I was very frugal in the kitchen at the weekend. We bake our

own bread (well with a little help from our trusty bread machine) and we always

seems to be left with a selection of slightly stale crusts come the weekend. On

Sunday I put these to good use and made a delicious “Bread and Butter Pudding”.

Traditionally “Bread and Butter Pudding” is made with dried fruit, but as my

husband is very anti-raisins we substituted these with chocolate chips and the

results were very satisfying indeed.
